Pivot Charter School: A Tuition-Free Public Charter School
With locations in the Ft. Myers and Tampa greater metro areas, Pivot Charter School is a Florida public school with an innovative site-based approach to high quality education. PCS incorporates an online curriculum with state-certified online teachers and certified on-site teachers working side by side with students as they are engaged in their courses in our Learning Centers. Each student receives an educational program to meet their individual needs and styles of learning. We enable students to successfully complete their requirements, graduate on-time, and move into the next stages of either career or college life. PCS also allows students to attend school on-site for a shorter amount of time each day than traditional schools.
Students will work daily with both online and site-based Florida certified teachers. Site-based teachers provide oversight of each student's entire educational program, including choosing the correct courses, tracking their progress, and ensuring they are receiving all services they need to be successful. Online teachers are available 24/5 (Sunday evening through Friday evening) which allows students to work on their courses before or after their school day as well. Students will be surrounded by Florida-certified teachers who are truly invested in their success at school, paving the way for their future success.
PCS offers a comprehensive curriculum including courses in all Core-Content areas (i.e. English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Computer Literacy), Foreign Languages, Fine Arts, multiple Electives, as well as College-Prep and Advanced Placement courses. Our online curriculum is rigorous, engaging, and self-paced. To see a demo of what the courses look like go to: AdvancedAcademics.com. All of our courses are taught by highly qualified Florida certified teachers who are available to students through instant messaging, phone, and email. Students will also be able to receive individualized help from their site-based teachers in the form of tutoring and small group instruction. Students also have access to 24/7 technical support.
