Ladies and gentlemen of the press, come one, come all and don't miss Cirque du Casey Cares, an evening of vintage circus intrigue for adults this Saturday night. The night is yours to clown around, but we get the show on the road at 6:00pm with circus entertainment generously provided by the Center Ring Circus School including trapeze artists, stilt walkers, jugglers, unicyclists, clowns, magician and a fortune teller during cocktail hour!
Reagan Warfield from the MIX Morning Show and Lynette Charles, WMAR-TV meteorologist, will be the ringmasters! Proceeds benefit the heartwarming programs that the charity provides for critically ill children and their families throughout Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region.
"We are thrilled to be having a circus theme this year, letting adults experience the excitement that our kids do when we send them to the circus," said Casey Baynes, charity Founder and Executive Director. "This event is not only fun, but raises money for us to help families who not only are suffering in this economy, but also have to deal with insurmountable health issues as well."
Recognizing donors who have been instrumental in exceptionally supporting programs of the Casey Cares Foundation in the past year, Feld Entertainment and the Allegis Group are being honored.
Proceeds from the event benefit programs for children suffering from leukemia, brain tumors, cystic fibrosis, blood disorders (such as sickle cell, TTP, aplastic anemia, etc.), lymphoma (Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin), sarcoma and other childhood cancers.
