Aww. It doesn't take much to reconcile sometimes. Nice scene.

Am I the only one who was cheesed off by this commercial? Because I do my best to avoid spoilers. I hadn't seen the movie yet, and I was looking forward to it. But then, boom, I see this on TV with the LAST FREAKING SCENE right there. I mean, I knew he'd be frozen, but geez! I didn't know ...

God, that scene is memorably horrific.

"Hooray! Everything's back to normal at the goth-- oh dear lord. Someone ripped this guy's head and arms off!!"

I saw this movie for the first time since I was a kid a few weeks ago, and I'm amazed at just how funny I find it with an adult's perspective. These guys have all sorts of dry wit that went right over my head when I was younger. I hope the upcoming movie does justice.

Also, I have to give props to Charles Grodin. You wouldn't think so, but the man really shines when he breaks out of his standard straight-man role and hams it up a little. His deliberate over-acting in this role is simply charming.

I love those damn guys.

Man, this was a great scene. Some games, they're just so tight you feel like it'd be a tiny hop to make it to the big screen. DAMN those sequel-canning moneykniks!

It seems to me his apparent aging is probably an affectation for the sake of interacting with lower life forms. After all, his true form is a ball of energy with snakes and sparkly... stuff. So if her wears a human body with arms and legs and a face, it may as well have an aging process to bo...

Holy cow. I was never a fan of Mulgrew's Janeway... her voice, her personality, her demeanor... but at least she HAD a voice, personality, and demeanor! This woman is... I don't know, an animated cardboard golem or something. Just zero presence. I guess they really did go with the lesser evil.

Hmm... seems kind of like they're backpedaling on the whole "gritty, realistic take on Mortal Kombat" idea. In that first short they really seemed to be trying to make it out as something that could happen in the real world, something that really departs from the established fantasy canon, but...

Yeah, I kinda like this better. It's not as pat as the ending we got. Of course, it wouldn't have been equal to the original film either way.
