I am not sure if I was at this take off but I was at one of the first take offs at Long Beach Airport. My late grandpa was an inspector for the C-17 project. I remember when it took off saying "Grandpa, that sucker is gone" and his co-worker responded "It sure is" I was only 8 years old :) Thanks...
