This really makes me appreciate his talent even more. i had no idea he played like that. In some ways his old TV show did little to showcase his enormous talent.

Hugely creative - there is nobody like Dave Van Ronk, never will be again. My sister said it right in her comment a year ago - Philly Folk Fest and The Main Point were the places we heard him play and it was always memorable! We were so lucky to have seen this guy in action for so many years.

Michael Cooney has been a favorite of mine since i was in my early teens. There is no instrument that he doesn't play!! Guitar, banjo, 12-string, concertina, pennywhistle, pipes... truly entertaining performer.
