Thousands filled the streets for Carnaby’s first international street food festival on Sunday 21 July. 40 of the area’s best restaurants, bars and cafés brought their dishes and concepts out onto the streets of Carnaby, London serving taster dishes for just £5, on-the-day offers and delicacies from over 40 global cuisines. From Hawaiian to Indian, Italian, Japanese and pan Asian.
A pop-up Margherita Bar hosted by newly opened Pizza Pilgrims, Shoryu Carnaby’s traditional yatai street food stand serving hirata buns, fresh oysters shucked at Wright Brothers, Duffin Sundaes at Stax Diner, Crumbs and Doilies cup cakes at Johnny Cupcakes and BBQ’s were just a few of the stands.
Then there was the demo kitchen in the new look Kingly Court hosted by celebrity Masterchef winner and self confessed foodie Hardeep Sigh Kohli, featuring demos form the likes of The Rum Kitchen, Whyte & Brown and The Detox Kitchen,
