Wonderful playing, as always. Any thoughts about the advantages of the 10-course over the 8-course. I've owned an 8 but never a 10, and I'm about to begin the process of getting a new lute. I sold my old lute, so this new one will be the only one I have--probably a Venere shape.

For the Martin: Is the width at the nut 1 11/16? If so, how much room does that leave your for finger-style? I think the scale is 24.9, right? A minor cosmetic point: I like the tortoise pickguard, but most of the OOO-28s I've seen have black (except the EC). How old is this guitar?
