Poor guy. My son is also severely autistic and has major meltdowns almost daily. His can be alot more violent then the one you posted and it is very upsetting. Hang in there
My son is autistic too and because he wouldn't keep his seatbelt on we ended upbuying a harness that he wears and it buckles into the frame of the seat. It is impossible to undo and makes driving alot safer. They are available online for purchase
You obviously love your son very much and are doing a great job with him! I am also the mother of a severely autistic son who is 16. It is tough and heart wrenching at times but you truly have to cherish those happy moments.
