Another thing is that it looks likeZoot's tenor sax is bare brass, which is not lacquered. It helps to retain the original sound that comes out of the mouthpiece. When the sax is lacquered it tends to smother/distort the sound a bit. I read that on a saxophone forum a few weeks ago - makes sense ...
