@mileycyrusroxsduh She won't be old enough in 2016. 7 in 2010 means 13 or 14 in 2016. She will have to wait until 2020 when she is 17 or 18.

@RockinGirlStar If it's any help, we have a girl that just moved up to team at 14 after beginning gymnastics at the age of 12 and taking 7 months off when she was 13. So 12 is not too late to start, just don't expect to go to the olympics anytime soon :)

Obviously in Canada, the first competitive level is called 1. They do some skills from US level 4 (vault), Level 6 (bwo on beam), Level 5 (jump to high bar), and the lower levels (pull-over mount onto bars). This does not make anyone better or worse than anyone else. It just makes the organizatio...

@Babygurlprincess101 For all Junior Olympic women (girls) competitions, a 40 is the highest... 10.0 per event x 4 events. For boys, it is a 60 because they have 6 events. It is only when a gymnast moves to the elite level that they can score higher.

@mel570 A kip is the most important move in gymnastics (and the hardest to learn). The gymnast glides under the bar, brings the toes to the bar, and rotates the body to finish in a front support position.

@gymnastics441 in most of the country, the bars can be started from a springboard, which is especially helpful when the law bar is set high enough that the girls can do their clear hip circles with straight legs without having to worry about their feet dragging the ground.
