About this user
CaPRI is a public policy think tank, a first for the Caribbean region. The Caribbean Policy Research Policy Institute (CaPRI) is the legacy of the Jamaica Economy Project, better known as the Taking Responsibility Project. From 2004 to 2006, the Taking Responsibility: The Jamaican Economy Since Independence Project (JEP) engaged a network of researchers in a comprehensive interdisciplinary inquiry into the economic performance of Jamaica since independence.
The Caribbean Policy Research Policy Institute (CaPRI) works to promote evidence-based dialogue within Caribbean societies. In an effort to create better policies, CaPRI informs debate through the production of evidence-based research of the highest quality to the public. The ultimate goal and mission of the Institute is to change the various national policy-making environments, public and private sector, in the Caribbean to one based on research (comparative and otherwise) from one based on partisanship and polemic.
