Cape Soundz is a series of inserts profiling Cape Town music and musicians.

This series of 8 is a pilot series. It was produced as part of an internship programme offered by Coffeebeans Routes.

We believe that such a series, aimed at both local and international audiences, and created specifically for the internet, can be a profound means of marketing the city's musical landscape to the world.

Lois Koopman and Auke Streng from Holland, multimedia students there, did a multimedia internship at Coffeebeans Routes between Oct 09 and Feb 10. During this time they produced work for for key projects, including Cape Soundz.

The host is performer Mavo Jokazi, of the band Maveriq.
