Welcome to CANTUS male vocal ensemble's home at YouTube.

Founded by friends at St. Olaf College in 1995, the group is now a nationally-auditioned, full-time professional chamber ensemble. Rehearsing and performing without conductor, the group appears regularly at major venues across the US and abroad. Cantus has recently given debuts at the Kennedy Center, Boston Pops, and Cameroon, Africa. The group sings music of many cultures and traditions, including chant, classical, folk, spirituals, pop, and world music.

About Me:

"The premiere men's vocal ensemble in the United States" [Fanfare], Cantus enjoys a vigorous schedule of national tours, subscription concerts in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, innovative residencies and outreach programs, and recording. The Washington Post called the singers' sound "beaming and elastic" and referred to their music-making as "spontaneous grace." Rehearsing and performing without conductor, Cantus' repertoire spans many periods and genres, including chant, Renaissance motets, contemporary works, art songs, folk music, spirituals, world music, and pop.

Your performance of 23rd Psalm by McFerrin is flawless. Is it on any of your albums I look forward to adding it to the collection?

Thanks, Restitvtvs. Currently, there is not a commercially available recording of our Pater Noster, but we'll add it to the list for future release. Sheet music is available through the arranger.
