Cornerstone Assistant Network was founded in 1992 to address the growing needs of individuals and families struggling under the burden of poverty in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Cornerstone has consistently served Fort Worth area residents with free food, clothing and furniture; free medical, educational and employment opportunities; along with subsidized housing and home ownership opportunities.

This is thanks to Cornerstone's vast network of government agencies, churches, businesses, local non-profits and foundations we have formed lasting relationships with. Without them this ministry would not be possible.

In addition to our role as a direct service provider, we also serve as an intermediary for small non-profits. We provide free or reduced rent, flexible leases and utilities, as well as shared costs of major office equipment while they are with us. We also provide training on the basics of non-profit management, such as how to set up a board of directors and budgeting. All of this is designed to help small non-profits keep operating costs low to increase their chances for long-term success.

We are blessed and thankful that this model has been reproduced in cities like Tulsa, OK and we hope it spreads so that the vision of Cornerstone can help as many people as possible.

Cornerstone is filling the gaps in local social services in our community and strives to empower our clients to improve their own lives, so they leave Cornerstone happier, healthier and with an eye toward the future.
