while the straps aren't 100% leather they are an OK material. The straps won't crack if taken care of. If its handled roughly or left in the sun for a long time (weeks it will crack)

If you have the cash definitly get the best leather you can, the plates look so good and are supirior to other replicas especially with the WWF logo, some high quality leather that would finish it off nicely.
