It was an AMAZING night of singing at the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN SING Elimination Round #1 - Canadian Content. We sadly in a close battle had to say good bye to Mary Anne Message and Richard Marion who both battled valiantly with great songs but just fell points shy. Next round is MARCH 13, 2012 - BACK TO THE 80's - remember there is NO ELIMINATION ROUND on Tuesday March 6th due to a late starting Canucks game. Congrats to all who went through on putting on a great show - VIDEO's of tonight's performances to come shortly!

The FINAL ROUND did not disappoint - as they battled hard for the final two spots in the ELIMINATION FINALS - congrats to Tina Dahlgren Hoell and Mary Anne Message for making the ELIMINATION FINALS along with the FAN VOTE going to Priscilla Partaker. A great evening of singing by all!

The 4th ROUND OF AUDITIONS took place at the ADMIRAL PUB this evening and what another great night of talent! CONGRATULATIONS to Kirsten Manning and Melanie Ast for their stellar performances and making it to the ELIMINATION FINAL ROUNDS starting on February 28th, 2012. THERE IS ONE more week of AUDITION - next Tuesday, February 21st at 9:30pm and we have ONE SPOT LEFT! ALSO!!! Important week next week - as along with the TOP TWO who will round out our 10 finalists - there will be ONE FAN VOTE of ANYONE who has auditioned and NOT qualified for the finals as of TODAY. You must BE IN THE ROOM to vote for your favorite and get them to the ELIMINATION FINALS with your support!

What AN AMAZING Audition round at the ADMIRAL for So You Think You Can Sing 2012 . Boy did everyone ever bring their A-GAME! Congrats to the first two qualifiers for the ELIMINATION ROUNDS - Andy Senko and Katherine Leminski!

TONIGHT the first local qualifier for the CANADIAN KARAOKE CHAMPIONSHIPS - gets under way at the ADMIRAL PUB - SO YOU THINK YOU CAN SING. If you want to take a shot at representing our country at the WORLD KARAOKE CHAMPIONSHIPS in FINLAND this fall - all expenses paid - then get yourself to the ADMIRAL and win the regional! First round of try outs is TUESDAY, JANUARY 24th, 2012 - 9:30pm - but you can collect entry forms and pay the fee at any ALL STARS KARAOKE show - check out www.oldadmiralallstars.weebly.­com for all contest details! We have FIVE CONFIRMED CONTESTANTS, and plenty who say they are coming - please note - you position is secured once your entry form has been filled out and your entry fee has been paid! We will take five more for this Tuesday only - so arrive early (I will be there just before 8pm) and the first three that pay are the ones that compete. You can enter your form and reserve for a future date if you wish - you payment confirms any date you wish!

It was an AMAZING FINALS that had each performer stretch themselves to the limit of their talents. After a close battle - the WINNER IS....JAYLEEN STONEHOUSE as 2011 Admiral Champ! KIRSTEN DURAND came a close second and both will move onto the B.C. Provincial Finals on June 18th, 2011. The WILD CARD winner was - PRISCILLA PARTAKER - congrats on going to the final on the FAN BALLOT!

As many of you now realize - the CANUCKS will start to dominate the social scene in town - either until they are eliminated or bring home the Stanley Cup. For this reason I HAVE MADE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE. Since there is a CANUCK game on what was supposed to be the FINALS night of Thursday, April 21st - I HAVE CHANGED THE DATE to the following...

Well - after a tough battle of country tunes - we lost GEOFF SHELLARD and JENNIFER FRASER in a tough field of eleven finalists - Only NINE remain and we are ready to rock it NEW WAVE in 80's NIGHT - next SUNDAY at the ADMIRAL - Sunday.
