Yes, it takes me back too. Re: 'We am observing your earth' I think it might be deliberate, with the idea that aliens haven't quite got the hang of the language yet. As at the end where there is a pause and says....'Baby'.

This is great, nicely paced, and perfect diction, with very 'Oliver Postgate' sound about the delivery. And informative of course.
