Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Ca, JP Montalvo graduated Santa Barbara High School, in 2003. While in college at Santa Barbara City College he taught Film Production at SBHS for 4 years. Between the years he taught, he was involved with "Don Riders," a recent Documentary that screened at the 2008 SBIFF. For 13 years he has been working at the Santa Barbara Channels, a local television access station where he continues to work to this day. Also contributing time with local documentarians like Diane Stevens & Jody Nelson, he continues to work on his own productions - shooting sports for both SBHS & SBCC.
