Do these exercises to vary or complete your workouts when using the Callanetics DVDs, or if you can only fit a few minutes of exercise into your daily schedule - this is not the entire Callanetics program uploaded (to order the DVDs go to www.callanetics.com).
First just watch the videos and listen to the instructions carefully - and make sure that you read the descriptions for each video. When you more or less know the positions, you can start the exercises and swap sides at the same time as I do to complete the same amount of pulses on each side. Make sure that you do all the appropriate stretches after exercising.
My shoes are not heavier than ballet shoes and I never wear them when I exercise. Wear only socks for all Callanetics programs. Having weights attached to your legs puts pressure on your joints, or you might end up activating other muscle groups than you need to use due to that extra weight.
