The violin is a nice touch. Bob Dylan had a woman play violin for some of his music in the 70s. Think it was on the album, Desire and the song, "Isis." A woman on the violin adds something special to a song.

Great little film, with a beautiful soundtrack by Georges Delerue. I think this was the last movie Desi Arnaz worked in. Lots of little great performances.

Not often you find somebody who can hold their own with David Bowie for both song and theater. So good to see two great professionals creating something memorable. Wish I had been there.

One of the greatest movie themes ever. Never heard anything that matches that sense of "hovering" which this creates.

Another iconic piece is "The Big Ship," from the 70s or so. It's fresh right now, never got dated by style or music recording changes.

Terry Gross has done more to publicize and popularize the arts than anybody else I know. Good acceptance talk, good to see her spread the glory around, also. You can't do a show with the quality of Fresh Air without a great team behind the star.
