Muslims may give themselves any kind of identifier they want but the core of Islam (as explained in the Quran) can NEVER be changed. In Islam, the ONLY being fit for worship is God...with NO exceptions at all!

And like I told you, Muhammad pbuh has NEVER used the crescent symbol and NOWHERE is it mentioned in the Quran.....that is enough for me to say that it is not part of Islam......it is only an identifier used by some.


As for the Christians (maybe not all of them) they USE the cross for worship.....Muslims on the other hand don't use the crescent symbol in this manner.

Using a symbol as an identifier and using it for worship are two VERY different things.
The crescent is not a holy symbol. Islam does not believe in any holy idols or symbols to be WORSHIPPED!

You are right about Mosques using the crescent symbol....what's wrong with using it as an identifier? Many Muslims also use Arabic calligraphy around Mosques and to decorate the Quran (referred to as "Islamic calligraphy" by some) while others use patterns which are referred to as "Islamic patterns" because of their constant use by the Muslims.

I don't know how you are claiming 'Crescent is not a symbol of Islam', maybe you haven't been to a Mosque in your life. There's no denying that its used as a symbol of Islam, just like Cross is used as symbol of Christianity. The Crescent were used by Ancient Turks (GokTurk) when they followed Shamanism, and considered Tengri (sky God) as their supreme God. When Turks converted to Islam, they carried on their Pagan symbol into their Islamic faith. Then with the rise of their several empires (mostly Seljuk and Ottomans) they spread Crescent everywhere. Pretty much same happened with the cross of Christianity and how it was spread by the Roman Empire.

I suggest you do more study about Crescent and its origin before giving me a reply.

Hi, tnx for your comment, please allow me to correct u.....

The crescent symbol does NOT have any relation with faith or worship AT ALL. In fact our role model Muhammad pbuh never used this symbol in any way. We do not use it like some Christians use the cross.

Furthermore if any body does associate it with worship then, that is considered as an innovation in religion, which is a sin in Islam!

Regarding some your comments :-

Christianity, Islam & Judaism; they all have Pagan elements in them. You talk about Christianity having pagan elements, but, same can be said about Islam. Take the crescent symbol of Islam for example; its a pre-Islamic Pagan Symbol that was used by the Ancient Turks, and now it's used for Islam. I could list many others.
