Cable 8 Productions is student-run television station at the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University. Cable 8 Productions was founded in 1986 by Professor W. Neal Robison. The goal of Cable 8 Productions is to equip students with practical television production and management experience by creating and producing. These programs air everyday on a local cable station serving WSU and the Pullman-Moscow communities. Cable 8 Productions also strives to give students the opportunity to meet new people and make new memories. Behind the scenes we also have a Promotions team working hard to plan events and spread the word about Cable 8 and all of its accomplishments. Cable 8 Productions went on air with three original shows: Live at 8, Video Underground, and a movie review show. Quickly becoming popular with the student population, Live at 8 won numerous national broadcasting awards and even had a guest appearance from actor Rob Schneider. Over the years, Cable 8 Productions has grown considerably in its facilities, responsibilities and general programming. Come and be a part of the tradition, legacy and excellence of Cable 8 Productions! We are always looking for crew members, and have casting every semester for staff, directors/producers and talent for shows. Underground. Stay tuned for new episodes every week!
