Lol, Wasn't Clarke in good form when he last toured India. He was your best batsmen then and had had epic Ashes and SA series before that followed by a decent summer and a good tour of New Zealand.

You could just say Bell was out of touch this series because he hadn't played for 4 and a half months.

Clarke averaged 37.55 vs spin, which is quite respectable given that his last two tours were at the start and end of a run of bad form.

Bell averaged 23 vs spin. 14.5 less than Clarke and he was supposed to be in epic form after the India series.

First of all,Michael Clarke's been in poor form BEFORE and during the last two tours to the subcontinent. The 09/10 tour of India in particular was a bad one, I think he averaged about 10 or something shit like that.

Clarke made a ton in SL as well as a 60 in Galle on a turner the likes of which would make Bell shit his pants before he even got to the pitch.

The other thing you want to look at is how often Clarke has actually been dismissed BY spinners in Asia, I seem to remember Ishant troubling him last tour of India more than the spinners did, and I'm pretty sure his early-innings dismissals in SL were off the quicks, not the spinners.
