I have a 1973 6hp Ariens snow thrower and it still works well. All steel construction with a simple reliable transmission. Each winter, I figure that it will be the last one for my Ariens. However, I don't think this thing will ever die!

What do you base that statement on?

I have a 39 year old Ariens snow thrower with an 8hp Tecumseh. Starts first pull and throws snow a long way. I have maintained it myself and taken good care of it.

I dunno. I have a 1974 Ariens that still runs and throws snow like new. Maintenance and TLC is the key. The Ariens is built like a tank.

I have torn it apart many times and I am amazed at how simply it is put together.
