@deepseadirt Mary Eaton had a young nephew Edwin Mills--my guess it that the child is Edwin. He was a child Actor and later a Broadway Actor.

This Tony Awards performance was not at all how she actually performed it during the show. For whatever reason, this seems to be an off night for her.

On stage her performance was magnificent. Very moving, and beautifully sung and acted. In my opinion, the Tony was very well deserved.

We Americans are from everywhere! However, I agree that this beautiful hymn/anthem can be enjoyed here and everywhere. How wonderful they included it during the royal wedding. It was special to select something that the crowds gathered could sing to.

I just saw the current revival with Daniel Radcliffe. Excellent production--Ellen Harvey plays the Lillias White role & she's terrific!

I rather like it at this tempo! Allegro Moderato is what it's supposed to be.

I am trying to learn this piece, and although I agree it's done too fast on this posting, it has actually helped me as I learn it--I can read & sing along at a brisker pace so I am able to learn it more quickly.

I just saw Julie Taymor's production at the Met last night--abridged 110 minute version--brilliant theatrics & beautifully sung--Nathan Gunn as Papageno.

Great commercial for an excellent & exciting show.
