I would think maybe the need to disperse them does not exceed my need NOT to fill the eyes and lungs of nonviolent, non-threatening civilians with burning vapor, cause them extreme pain and make them and everyone close to them hate cops for the rest of their lives.

I don't know how much more this has to happen before Americans start realizing that law enforcement is not your friend. If you believe that the reasons/intentions these people are expressing are disparate and unrelated (and thus, by implication, they are foolish and unfocused) YOU are the one who doesn't understand what's happening.
