Scientist don't kill embryos just for stem cells. People kill their own embryo out of free will and can choose to donate it or throw it out. Either way it is dead and it isn't because of embryonic stem cell research. Also it is quit not quite.

The biological standpoint is contrary to yours. The embryo when used for stem cell research consists of 100 cells. While they have the potential to become human life they cannot be seen as equivalent until embryo is attached to the womb. At this stage it is not.
