A little history lesson on Quiet Riot!!!!
- Quiet Riot was formed in the year 1973 by guitarist Randy Rhoads and Kelly Garni, who Randy had taught how to play bass. They originally formed under the name Mach 1, later becoming Little Women, then, after Vocalist Kevin DuBrow heard of an English band named Quite Right, he came up with the name Quiet Riot. The original lineup was Kevin DuBrow on vocals, Randy Rhoads on guitar, Kelly Garni on bass and Drew Forsyth on drums. They released 2 albums that were only released in Japan: Quiet Riot 1 in 1977, and Quiet Riot 2 in 1979.
Alot of people think Quiet Riot was formed in 1982 when Metal health was released. That is untrue. That was the return of Quiet Riot with Kevin DuBrow on Vocals, Rudy Sarzo on bass, Franky Banali on drums and Carlos Cavazo on guitar.
Randy Rhoads Shows on Youtube...
- Newcastle, U.K September 17th, 1980
This bootleg was part of the early Blizzard of Ozz U.K tour. It is a good sounding bootleg for its age, and features the original band and the original setlist. It is a really good show to listen to. It's a 7/10.
- January 15, 1982 at Menneapolis Mets Center, Minnesota
This show was during the second wing of the DIary of a Madman tour. Ozzy's singing wasn't great at all, and some keyboard problems occured. Of course, Randy's playing was excelent, The boot is clear, but two songs are missing and one song is only partial. The boot is a 7/10 in my opinion.
- Live Chelmsford, U.K on October 22nd, 1980.
This bootleg just shows how Randy burst onto the stage. This show ws taken very early in the first wing of the Blizzard of Ozz U.K Tour. As you can hear, it isn't a large gig, so that adds on to proof that it was early in the tour. The quality of the bootleg is a little down because it sounds like the tape may have been damaged. The band and Randy's guitar comes through fine. This show has some of Randy's best playing in my opinion. Show is 8/10.
-Cleveland Ohio, January 31st, 1982.
This is another show recorded in Cleveland, Ohio. The bootleg is in decent quality. It sounds like it was recorded a distance from the stage, or the recorder was inside of something, possibly concealed. Randy, of course, rocks the show and you can definitely tell when he starts soloing. Boot is 5/10.
- Providence. Rhode Island August 7th, 1981.
This show is as close as you'll get as far as a pro recorded show goes. This show sounds nothing like a bootleg except for the occasional warp or skip or fade out/in. Honestly, this bootleg is probably the best quality boot behind the Cleveland show from 1981. The boot is definitely a 9.5/10.
- Albuquerque, New Mexico January 7th, 1982.
This show was recorded at Tingley's Coliseum. The first two tracks of this show were recorded on camera right on the stage. It's not the best quality, but it sounds good. I just like to upload these kinds of shows. It's a 6/10
-May 5th, 1981 Springfield, Massachusetts Civic Center.
This show is probably one of the worse quality shows yet. The sound comes through and Randy is shredding as always. The tape is warped so it is all weird. Anyway, I rate it 4.5/10.
-El Passo, Texas, February 23rd, 1982 at the County Coliseum.
This bootleg is the last known documented recording of Randy before his death less than 3 weeks later. The bootleg is at its full and sounds really good. If you wanted to hear a CD quality bootleg of the Diary of a Madman show with all of Randy's modded tones for the tour, this is the one to listen to. I get chills listening to Paranoid fade out on this one because that's it right there unfortunately. The bootleg is a 9/10! MUST LISTEN!

Are you sure? I have two different versions of this show and both are not great. Randy's playing is spectacular though.
