BURN Magazine is an evolving journal for emerging photographers. Content is provided by an international community of photographers and writers, with work ranging from abstract art photography and digital photomontage to straight photojournalism.
BURN Magazine has introduced a number of new multimedia pieces to the public, and strives to walk the cutting edge of contemporary photography, with a "no rules" approach to the medium, and an open blog-style forum of opinions, critiques, insights and suggestions. In addition to supporting and fostering talented emerging photographers, BURN showcases selected works from the most celebrated and respected icons in the world of photography.
Collectively, these icons have covered wars, conflicts and critical social issues for the past 5 decades . They are the recipients of every artistic award on offer, and their works hang in the worlds finest galleries.
In 2009, after just 10 months in publication, BURN Magazine won the coveted Lucie Award for Photo Magazine of the Year - the first online-only publication to do so.
