Patria Jacobs founded the Los Angeles rock group Rubyfish. Her first solo cd, Poison of the Sea, was produced by Stew (of Negro Problem and B'way's Passing Strange musical) and Marc Doten (Double Naught Spy Car) and features performances from Stew, Marc, Heidi Rodewald, Corky Hale, Probyn Gregory and Paul Lacques, among other LA musicians.

Poison of the Sea was selected with the distinction of Amoeba Records "Homegrown" label and Top Ten Albums of the Year on KPFK-Los Angeles "The Music Never Stops" radio show.
