I don't have a flash gun, how strong the light on the side needs to be? I tried using a a 40watt table lamp, warm light. It turned out very dark and can't see the smoke. I have tried adjusting the f. no and apperture as well, but still under exposed.

I made some falafel following your recipe. I added some flour to hold them together, so it was good that they didn't fall apart during frying. But they are so crispy and a little too hard. How can I improve the next time, so that they are not so hard like rocks?
