Hopefully they are not trying to rewrite history, because they will never succeed, not now a days. One of our Elders, said to me; they should put a little light brown on his face and should dark his hair because he is a BLACK MAN not a white man. I do over stand that type of stone that they used; it could be darken up a little. However, are they still SCARED of POWER of the BLACK MAN.

I'm an African American male and a huge believer of Dr. MLK's philosophies, but I think he is probably looking down at this very moment unimpressed. At $120m you could have given 500 black kids full 4 year scholarships or even built 10 community centers in the countries highest crime areas. With all the schools, libraries, streets, postages and even a holiday, King will never be forgotten. Too many black kids are gunned down to spend money on such nonsense. This wont get us to the mountain tops.

Hi5! So many are still excited and reverancing the National Monument in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Be safe, those who are still traveling to/from Washington, D.C. We know Mr. Johnson and the Dr.MLK National Memorial Foundation and esteemed Committee made the wise decision to postpone the dedication. We are still preparing, still collecting donations, still signing up more people for the airways, trains, cars and bus caravans! Like the 'Build the Dream Tele-A-thon that would broadcast on MLK Day! Wonderful idea hope will come to fruition.

funny that his monument is being put up in the heart of Babylon: which was the center of all his protests and rally cries.....i cant help but think that this is more so a rewriting of history than a dedication to King.....if anything this monument should be put up in Atlanta or Chicago.....least of all heart of the US corporation
