Hi my name is Stewy I play in a Liverpool based duo playing the pubs and clubs of Liverpool and yes i have played the cavern.One of the best weekends out in Liverpool is the Mathew Street Festival which is the last bank holiday in August.

There are bands from all over the world playing on stages in the streets, and every bar round the city, from tribute bands to original bands.

Thousands of people flock to the city packing the streets and bar and most if not all the hotels are full.

I have played in every Mathew street Festival since it started and had a great time at every one.

My duo is called Mr smith, then we went to tooz up now im back with Mr Smith.

The Festival started life as the beatles festival and was originaly run by the cavern city group (who by the way are in the middle of building a hotel based around the beatles theme which should be opening soon) but now the festival has grown so big that it seems to have lost its name (the beatles Festival) and is now called the Mathew Street festival.

If you happen to get to Liverpool for the festival call in and say Hi I will be playing on the First National Wine Bar in James Street on the Sunday and the Monday this year at around 3pm.
