How can one be objective and truthful about oneself? Who wants to be, in an age of media deception, politically proper, and total advertising shams....& legalistically mucked-up jargon to deceive everyone?

I am 73 years old; began playing & studying the piano at age 3; made a debut with an orchestra, in a Mozart concerto, (the "Coronation," at age 11;) gave concerts throughout the country until age 17; won every contest ever entered; received no money; faced the military Draft and enlisted into the Navy; gave a public concert in Wash. D.C., and played for several "dinner parties" by a sponsor, was appointed "Piano Soloist" with the U.S. Navy Band by President Eisenhower; (1955); in 1960 began studies at the Manhattan Sch. of Music/ with Robert Goldsand; also studied, at age 12, with Percy Grainger and Wm. Kappell; and so it goes!!!! Graduated and began teaching; came to Danbury, Ct., and tried to develop a Charles Ives Center; gave concerts, solo and chamber; reared my son, and taught for 30 years; retired and continued performing. I now still play, have my cigars, read, write: wrote music reviews for the local paper for over 2 years; in addition to cigars, I have my 2 martinis of the evening and a very large correspondence. My son is my anchor!....he visits most weekends. I read philosophy, history, poetry, and am disenchanted with our political and governmental system.

Yes, I walk every other day, down and back a rough road......and my son has brought me into the 21st century, technologically.

That's why I'm on Youtube.

I hope to "bop-off" with a smile on my face, and a cigar in my mouth, drenched in gin! If that offends anyone, well.....it's who I am....so be it!!!!

I love poetry; I love nurturing talent and intelligence in all human beings; I love drawing and painting - art - and I love handwriting with dip pens; I love collecting books...even those I don't read....I love being with alert and alive people who just wish to converse. I love nature, animals, "all creatures great and small,"....a Hobby I don't have......well, maybe cigars; I putter around in my Study, and I've written over 40 journals......mostly personal and none that would be interested to the general public; I'd like to have the discipline and talent to write a commentary on my life, music, people, society, etc......but think it would be futile....and a waste of time. Sorry, I don't have any other kind of hobby, like sports, knitting, artsy-craftsy, whatever....
My real hobby is my mind....trying to keep it open, free, functioning, and relevant!
