Leonard vs. Duran I -- Rounds 1-2 (Cosell)

Pro-Leonard slant to Cosell's commentary, IMO, during the course of the fight, but he could do little to deny Duran's dominance in Round 2.

    bteniswood bteniswood commented:

@TA152H01 Well, he didn't win the first round, but he won the next four, and all the middle apart from 6 and 7 up to about 12. If you can't see that Duran won this fight clearly, albeit closely, then you are quite simply just biased. Duran landed the cleaner punches, he landed the harder punches...

    When Legends Fall

Just a short video I put together of some legendery Boxers fighting past their best (and getting punished)

    bteniswood bteniswood commented:

I remember seeing a 50 year Duran (who started as a bantamweight) against a prime William Joppy for the 160 championship. That was awful to watch. A sad day. It was just like seeing Leonard against Camacho and Ali beaten up by Holmes.

@junkuze It wasn't a scoring error. You can give it, based on personal preference, a 10-7 or 10-6. One judge gave it 10-7. It wasn't an error, because an ERROR ie. wrongly scored, would have been changed to the correct score. It can be either way, which is why it wasn't changed.

@cnullify Even so, it may be the last great rivalry we ever see in boxing. Those types of rivalries are dying with it. Keep it up, it's getting there. It's just that you're playing it a little bit fast and things aren't lining up. You need to slow it down much more for much longer before speeding it up again.
