I liked this song without knowing Spanish, thinking it was some fluffy love song - until I looked up the English translation and found what she was really saying. I like it even more now.

I lived on Lake Street in Newark in the 70's and I would have loved to meet Wilbert Harrison. For some weird reason, this is my favorite song of all time - no idea why. Maybe because it was one of the first I loved.
