The best advice that I could ever give anyone is this, take a moment, look around you, even if you don't have much, you have something that someone else wants. It's always important to appreciate what you have, instead of dwelling on what you don't have....I am by no means the smartest shark in the ocean, but I am by no means the dumbest either.
My beliefs: I believe and trust in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I do not however believe in the "modern" church. I believe in studying the teachings of Christ, while not conforming to the ways of the "modern" church. My beliefs are non-negotiable, so take it or leave it. I encourage everyone to believe in their own religion, I am not a person who frowns on other "religions" or beliefs.
Presidential vote: Oh jez, do we have to vote between the 2? Obama so far, McCain still has my open mind to convince.

You wont see me prominent in comments much anymore, just don't have the time, or patience.
Im a big sports fan/ex-pro wrestler/ex-athlete.
I am an active martial artist and boxer. I run, train, and lift weights to keep in shape.
The video I made in response to the ChosonNinja was to bring to each viewer's attention the need to spar and attempt to use moves under actual resistance and against aggression, while being tired at the same time from throwing punches, as well as the fact that when you spar with a good partner they wont just stand there and allow you to perform moves on them as they do when you see individuals like the ChosonNinja demonstrate moves in his videos. It takes practice to be able to perform any technique under pressure. In my opinion you need to best simulate a real attack to learn what works for YOU and what doesnt, this is where sparring comes in, as well as trial and error. What works for you? When I was a child I studied the art of Tou Kou Kai and earned a second degree backbelt, 80% of the Tou Kou Kai techniques are useless under real aggression. This is the same problem I see with the traditional martial arts style. Most traditional martial arts styles do not teach triangle chokes, submissions with a gi, submissions for self defense, counter submissions, on the ground, limb submissions, escapes, Omoplata, chokes, ankle locks, heel rises, arm elbow knee bars, kimura, guillotine, sprawl, go behind, takedowns, the intricacies of the guard, submissions from the guard(good for women because they can use the strongest limbs on their body(legs)) and so on...
I respect the ChosonNinja as a person. He seems like a nice guy. It's nothing personal and I dont want him to stop, just be a little more realistic.
Country: United States
Interests and Hobbies: Master Bruce Lee's basis of his style is the way of the intercepting fist but it evolved into Jeet Kune Do which Bruce himself said stood for combining the things that work from each martial art into one. Bruce was the originator of building the perfect MMA fighter.
Bruce also has a book, (he has a bunch), where he said -most- fights end up on the ground, and ground practice was crucial to being a well rounded warrior(paraphrased). Most martial arts didnt start changing until UFC got big, some are still teaching techniques that dont work.
Movies and Shows: Kobe Bryant is a very talented basketball player, Kobe Bryant set out to emulate Michael Jordan and any observer of the game can see that. Kobe's level of play and achievements have fallen well short of Michael Jordan's level of play and achievements. Kobe Bryant is too far off pace to catch Jordan status yet the NBA continues to use Michael Jordan's name in an attempt to draw more fans to Kobe Bryant. It's not right and they need to stop degrading what Jordan status truly is. To be a true Jordan type player, Kobe would need to have done much much more by this point in his career, he will not ever achieve Jordan status. Everyone should state it like this, --Kobe is an extremely talented player who emulates Michael Jordan, Jordan is a player he looks to emulate because Jordan inspired many people, Kobe Bryant is a Michael Jordan inspired athlete.--

Music: "The defensive rules, the hand checking, the ability to make contact on a guy in certain areas .... [have] all been taken away from the game."
"If Kobe could get 81, I think Michael could get 100 in today's game."
Just do a Google for "Pippen's blog" and then scroll a little ways down to 1/2006.
