Definitely leave the stock pickups! They sound fantastic, bright but not shrill, and it's also dark & funky, but not muddy! Plus the picking dynamics and response on them is awesome. Don't fix what isn't broken. One thing: What gauge strings did you put on it? I know it comes stock with 9s. ...
