I'm sure. Hell; he deserved it. But; the Joe Pass EPI doesn't even stack up to an EPI dot. If you want to hear Joe Pass at his best, in his later years, there are some excellent videos, with Roy Clark, on Youtube, Roy Clark and Joe Pass play Hank Williams. These two artists had a grea...

trouble is- a lot of Doc's best work is lost to time; or owned by Carson collections. Unlike Maynard, who recorded more prolifically, the lion's share of Doc's work was on television; much of it on the, 'lost,' tonight show tapes of the 60's. Doc devoted a lot more time to the show than to making...

it gives those who can't afford the real deal the chance to have the playing experience at a price they can afford. I have a China made ES 355 copy; which rocks, for nearly half the price of an Epi Lucille. And it looks very similar. I even wonder if they were made in the same factory....

ray eberle was, imho, perhaps the most underated vocalist of his day. this may not have been his best recording, however, if you listen to, 'my reverie,' or some of his other Bluebird recordings, he was as good as Dick haymes, or Sinatra himself.

it appears on the genuine Gibson ES355 reissue. This is a very good copy. I've played the ax for a year now; with no complaints. Of course; I'd rather have the real deal, who wouldn't? But, pricewise, you will not find a better one at any of the big music houses.
