Horses:
- Hero.
9years old, 15hh Gypsy Vanner, piebald.
His name says it all. I can't begin to tell how much this horse has taught me; i owe him everything.
I got Hero when he was only 4, he was my first horse. He couldn't do much, he was just your typical hacking horse, he'd never really been schooled, but he wasn't hesitant to try anything you asked him. For the first year or 2 of owning him i just hacked him out, after all i was only 10! On the second or third year of owning him i introduced him to jumping. He would absolutely demolish the jumps haha. He was seen as 'the horse who couldn't jump'. But, with time and patience he began to grasp the fact he had to pick up his legs. Jumping became more serious although it only started out to be some fun every now and then. Today, the horse who couldn't jump, has free jumped 5ft and 4ft6 with me on his back :) He is the safest horse anybody will ever come across.. he is just the best - i can't even start to tell you why!!
Hero has given me the confidence to do practically anything. Hero is now sold to a lovely home pretty close to me. His new owner will only hack him out, that's exactly what i wanted for him; for Hero to be a happy hacker. The reason i choose to sell Hero was because i want to go further in my show jumping and also because i want to form a bond with another horse.. you know, have a new adventure. It was the hardest decision i've ever had to make. Hero will go to his new home on the Tuesday the 6th of September. That day will be the hardest day i will ever have to face. But i'm happy for him, i really am.

My new boy! He is such a sweetie and i see a very bright future ahead! He will be my future show jumper once he is introduced to jumping. He has lunged 4ft before though, despite never being trained! I will add more information on him soon :)
