Australian Folk act 'Brillig' spins tales of loss and longing, yet their command of enchanting melodies & sweet harmonies create a strangely uplifting and dreamily romantic atmosphere.

These South Australians (Matt Swayne, Elizabeth Reid, Denni Meredith, Ben Macklin) possess an odd quality that imbues adept story-telling with days-gone-by poetic flair, and feature a graceful and intricate combination of male/female vocals, viola, banjo, ukulele, guitar, piano accordion, bass, drums and the traditional Americana folk instrument, 'autoharp'.

Signed to indie German label Black Rain, Brillig launched their latest EP at Halloween 2008, and will be making their European live performance debut in 2009.

**Please note, Brillig (our Australian act) is NOT to be confused with any other bands (e.g. USA) calling themselves 'brillig' on YouTube....!!
'Desperate decadent ideas and absolute disappointment in the outside world, yet somehow also positive, organic and wonderful....[Viola, banjo, harmonica] add a calmness to the gothic genre with folk tendencies or an old western flavour' - Machinist (Russia)
