Bright Ideas Trust (BIT) is a registered charity which takes a new and innovative approach to helping young people start up and build their own business.

BIT provides a package of business support to 16-30 year olds who have the ambition to start their own business and are currently Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET)or from socially excluded groups.

BIT provides those it supports with the critical tools which are needed to create and develop a new business. These are:

- Advice & Guidance
- Mentoring
- Expert Business Support
- Funding

Whilst it is a charity, BIT does not give away hand outs or grants. Rather, it uses a commercial venture capital approach to its investments taking small equity stakes in the business and issuing loans at competitive rates.
