Felling a tree with a chainsaw is a lot more involved 8ft from the ground rather than at knee height :) And anyway, there are several hundred other trees left for people to be tied to!

wouldn't it have made sense to have left some of the gladestumps 6-8 feet or higher, for obvious uses?
