@TanukiKGA Are you sure about Tobidase Daisakusen supporting the Famicom 3D system. Everything I have seen suggests that it's red and blue like the US. Lukemorse1, would you mind showing off the 3D mode? I'm certain that's red and blue. I even checked via emu.

Not anime based. This game was planned to be based on Thundarr the Barbarian, but the company couldn't get the license.

Barbalian was probably due to how Ls and Rs are interchangable in Japan (this game is Japan only). I highly doubt it was done to avoid a lawsuit since the word Barbarian has been around for a long time.

Doh. Read the description. As said before, this is different from the original, and is emulated due to it being 2600 based hardware.

@primeboxers Why do you have a hard time believing the game came out? Atariage lists the rarity, you can find carts for sale at places like ebay, you can find posts talking about the game on the Atari Age forums, not to mention places online with pics of the cart. @psyjax This game was one of the late era games published by Atari corp. There was no other boxing game published by Atari. I'm guessing you mean Activision's Boxing (which was not licensed by Atari)?

doh. The paddles operate the flippers, but the ball can't be launched whn using the paddles with the cart. odd

I'm looking for a video of the JP version, so I find it a bit confusing when a game is listed as NES/FC. Nice video, though.

This video has the game in speed up mode, but the game also has a mode for the original speed. There's also a cool easter egg is a real PLUS! :)

I played the DOS DK on a CGA comp a long time ago and I remember it running slower than in the video. Closer to the Apple II version's speed in this video.

The Atari 8 bit Berzerk is a finished proto that just happens to be near identical, if not identical, not a hack. Excellent port either way, though. I love how it has the voice, especially when other 800/5200 games like Pole Position and Wizard of Wor lack the voice of the arcade.

@DamienColletti The Atari 8 bit line wasn't short lived. The first one, the 400 came out in the 70s and it went up to the XE line in the mid to late 80s. 800s and 800XLs aren't exactly rare either.

The game has a suicide button because it's one of those puzzle games where you can mess up and have to restart. The Lolo games have one too and the game wouldn't be the same if it left you having to reset instead of being able to lose a life to try again.

Not only was Alan Reed on The Beverly Hillbillies, but Mel Blanc was too. He played a cab driver in a B&W episode.

@Tamanozke no love for codemasters (makers of Micro Machines and Dizzy)? Tengen did make good stuff on NES, though.
