Listening to Brenyama is like taking a surrealistic trip on a time machine, bringing back musical treasures to the modern day.

The songs are brought to life by the beautifully enchanting vocals of Maki, from Miki City Japan. As the songs unfold Maki holds the beat down using an array of instruments that she has found along her journeys. The back drop of Brenyama is then set by the echoing sounds of Richard's soulful acoustic guitar playing. Richard's backing vocals also lend brilliant contrast and undertones to the mix. Maki and Richard are often joined by the dynamic bass lines of Mark, which adds a surreal element that gels the songs together.

With many inspirations, Brenyama's songs range from 60's style Acoustic Rock,as well as Country, Singer Song Writer, and even 80's new wave. Brenyama then adds its own unique lyrical topics, and experimental instruments, bringing you a fresh new vintage sound. These are the kind of songs you can love right away and carry with you forever.

The first single "Something Special" B/W "Never Walk Alone" was released on April 30th 2011, and has had a great reception among local artists and fans. Their first EP due out in June, with the working title "The Hot Bed Of Fine Squid",will be an excellent collection of home recorded songs, taking Benyama to it's next musical destination.
