Breakthrough Collaborative prepares high-achieving middle-school students, most of whom are of color and from low-income families, to enter and succeed in college-preparatory high-school programs and beyond through a students-teaching-students model that matches them with outstanding college and high-school students who have been recruited and trained to teach and serve as role models and mentors. To ensure students academic success and ultimately, access to college, Breakthroughs affiliates offer them a variety of educational services and support systems throughout their high-school years.
