Name: Brad
Age: 37
I'm just a guy. I like typical guy things such as classical music, nineteenth century literature, silent films, women's issues and fuzzy little kitty cats, and of course my amazing wife, Maria.

I am also an amateur paranormal investigator specializing in spirit communication techniques such as Electronic Voice Phenomena. This part of my life seems somehow to be taking over the other bits at an alarming rate.
City: Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Country: United States
Occupation: Foole, Writer, Illustrator
Companies: My cats keep me company
Interests and Hobbies: Pain Medication Afficianado; Literature (see below); Vintage Comic Strips; Writing; Being Disabled (as a hobby this was sort of thrust upon me unawares); Women's Issues; Equality Issues; Social Responsibility; Silent Film (see below); Classic and Foriegn Film (see below); Music (see below); Illustration; Myth and Folklore Studies; Cats; Spiritualism and Paranormal Studies; Napping
Movies and Shows: Salome's Last Dance by Ken Russel is a particular favorite (finally found a copy I could afford!); Fritz Lang (M and Metropolis, of course, and Dr. Mabuse, The Gambler is amazing--one of the best silent films I've ever seen) Terry Gilliam (all but Brothers Grimm--what happened there?); Werner Herzog (Aguirre the Wrath of God, and The White Diamond); Charles Chaplin (Incredible Genius Alert!); Sergio Leone; Akira Kurosawa (everybody knows Seven Samurai but my favorite is Red Beard, a drama about nineteenth century doctors at a rural clinic in Japan.); Lots of other offbeat stuff I seem to have a knack of finding (The Persecution and Assassination of Jean Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum at Charenton Under the direction of the Marquis de Sade by Peter Brook and The Royal Shakespeare Company; My Favorite Year&amp). I also like cheesy horror films, but don't tell anybody...
Music: An alphabetical sampling: Mose Allison; Cab Calloway; Captain Beefheart; Caravan; Frederic Chopin; Claude Debussy; Sandy Denny; Fairport Convention; Gabriel Faure; George Harrison; The Incredible String Band; Jethro Tull; Lindisfarne; Melanie; Felix Mendelssohn; Jaco Pastorius; Franz Schubert; Robert Schumann; Alexander Scriabin; Steeleye Span; The Strawbs; Richard Thompson; Tom Waits; Frank Zappa and a whole lot more...
Books: My current favorite is Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu, an Irish novellist and short-story writer of the mid nineteenth century. I also enjoy other nineteenth century authors like Wilkie Collins, Arthur Conan-Doyle, and Charles Dickens. I definitely have a soft spot for the gothic fiction! I also enjoy historical fiction from the likes of George MacDonald Frasier and Patrick O'Brien, and all manner of folk tales, mythological texts and ancient epics. I should've been an English professor!
