Do you love opera? Do you sing along to your favourite arias? Would you like the opportunity to sing live at Trafalgar Square on 30 June? The Royal Opera House and BP are looking for two of the best budding amateur opera singers in the UK to come and sing live to the nation during the intervals of the BP Summer Big Screen live broadcast of La traviata.
A judging panel from the Royal Opera House will choose the best male and the best female to come along to the Royal Opera House for the entire day of the live broadcast. In the morning the winners will receive a coaching master class in preparation for their evening live performance in Trafalgar Square as well as a backstage tour of the iconic Covent Garden theatre. Following the performance in Trafalgar Square the winners will be given a night at a five star hotel courtesy of Radisson Edwardian Hotels.
The rules of the competition are simple record yourself performing your favourite operatic aria send it in. It must be you singing, the aria must be from an opera, you must be 18 or above and you must be an amateur.
There are two ways to submit your entry: Film your performance on a camcorder and send in on DVD or upload onto the BP Aria YouTube channel. Post your entry as a video response to our main feature.
The deadline for entries is 19 June.
