The coolest of the cool, because they didn't try so hard to be like they do now days. As for Ringo smoking while playing, come on now, this was 1966! That's what people did back then. Heck, there were even cartoons with Fred Flintstone and George Jetson advertising cigarettes!

I watched this very performance on Midnight Special, and have posted this to my facebook many times. I always get great responses in comments to this vid. I was in high school at the time I first saw this, and never knew until this moment reading here that the cowbell player was/is Gary's sister....

Well I don't hate him. And I don't think he isn't very talented kid. He is. But someone just said what bugs a lot of people about JB: He's still a little kid acting all grown up with vids like this one. He also represents the hidden part of his fame: the greed behind it with all the bloodsuckers ...

I love the "I'm going to take your badge number and report that... and you will lose your job" attitude. Officers response should be: "Yes, you have my badge number. Please send a letter or go to court with your insane attitude and tell them I did my job."
