God has taught me many things in life in such a short time but its not worth anything unless it matches up in what we do. People mess up, people do horrible things, people conform to ideas but what makes you who you are? It's all about when no when else is around except you. All the friends and happiness that the world can bring doesn't change that, trust me I've been there. All things that you try and keep secret in the end will come out either publicly or God will bring you to your knees to where all you can do is look up, broken and knowing that there is one truth...That God is more than a mojo, more than some distant being who has no say so in life and leaves us here to make our own way. That we are "alone" to be whatever we want to be, that because we are hurt by other people and what they do to us that we can just stop putting God in our lives. No, God is and always will be. He created us all with a passion, a desire that when we stand back and look we can't begin to understand why. We all have fallen short. But the amazing thing is...God is beyond limits...His hand reaches into the deepest pits and places those who realize their wrongs and faults and put their mind, heart, and soul into seeking His face on the highest of mountain tops. He is beyond description in that even mentioning a 3 in 1 being cannot be fathomed by human minds. So then how do I know this? Because God gives us a story, and all the popularity, athleticism,passions, and desires cannot fill the need for a super human savior. A savior that can reach down when we don't believe He can, when we know we don't deserve redemption, a second chance at life. When we look at our lives broken at the thought of how perfect God is and how terribly wrong we have become. But in that moment...He raises us up and shapes us, makes us and guides us to places that we could never have imagined. Because He is love and faithful to His own. Because He sent His Son to take our places and raised Him up to the highest of heights, above all things in power that only in mentioning the name of Jesus sets the captive free, rents sin from top to bottom and makes a sinner right to see God again. And in that moment, a moment as a Christian I will never forget, He looked down on me and said "your forgiven" Every day I fight, every day I struggle, every day it gets harder to go on. But something drives me, sometimes its so powerful it brings me to tears of joy but other times its something deeper...deeper in the sense that temptation is pounding on the gates of my heart but I stand for a reason I can't explain in the moment. But in the end I know, because God did not send His son Jesus to die on a cross for me to turn back , to fade away into the night but to fight for the prize of salvation which was given by His blood. And its worth fighting for!
When it comes to those that believe opposite to me I like to talk with them, not only to build up my faith, but possibly show them what true Christianity is.
